Nilesh Shah

Nilesh Shah manages the firm's corporate tax and VAT departments and advises clients on both aspects of taxation, on an international basis.

Specifically, he negotiates with the Inland Revenue and Customs & Excise on behalf of clients, finding fresh solutions to problems, and directly increasing the profitability of a transaction or the business itself. He has been involved in taking cases before the Special Commissioners and VAT tribunals, and won. He also advises clients on restructuring their businesses as part of a sale or reorganisation.

Nilesh represents Blick Rothenberg and BKR International on his regular trips to India, and has spoken at professional conferences on a wide range of topics, and most recently, on the tax implications of e-business. Together with Justin Barrington, he has helped many overseas IT and e-commerce companies successfully establish operations in the UK.
