Bob Rothenberg, MBE

Bob Rothenberg was born in 1950. He has been a partner in the firm since 1979 and senior partner since 1997. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation and a Member of the Academy of Experts. Bob was made an MBE in the 2007 New Year's Honours List for services to business and to the community in London.

Whilst responsible for the overall strategy and management of the firm, Bob retains responsibility for a number of clients and prides himself in meeting and knowing many others. He has a working knowledge of German. His professional work extends to general, financial and commercial advice and he acts as a trustee and an executor for a number of clients. Bob is a board member of Think London, the official foreign direct investment agency for London and advises many non UK companies on doing business in the UK.

Bob lectures regularly on taxation and company law and is joint author of Understanding Company Accounts, now in its fourth edition, and Mastering Business Information Technology.

Bob spends much of his time travelling, promoting London and the UK as business centres. In the last year he has visited Germany, France, Switzerland, USA, Singapore and Australia, not only representing the firm and its international network, but as a director of Think London and in co-operation with UK Trade & Investment.

Bob is a regularly quoted on tax and commercial issues in the national press, and has recently appeared on radio (BBC Radio 4 Moneybox) and television (BBC1 Business Breakfast).

Bob and his wife Pippa live in north London with their children Katie, Simon and Joanna. Bob is a governor of Highgate School, a trustee of The Prince's Foundation for the Built Environment, a trustee of Care for Children, and a trustee of the Hampstead & Highgate Festival. He is a keen skier, avid Spurs football supporter and enjoys theatre and opera.
